Report:
Day 2 started in reasonably dry and sunny conditions. Everyone was in pretty good spirits, although fearful of the day ahead, reputedly the hardest day on Lejog.
With mostly just heavy legs, we started with a long climb back to the A390, before making good progress through Liskeard and up to Minions, the highest village in Cornwall.

The wind was at times strong and blustery, and unfortunately today right in our faces! It was hard work, made worse by the rain!

After Minions, and an exhilarating descent into the gorge of Horsebridge. A steep climb out the other side, finally we made it to Lydford and the start of the Granite Way, a converted disused railway line. Despite a short section that required to walk, it was a fairly flat route which allowed us to enjoy some stunning views from the Maldon Viaduct and make good time into Okehampton for lunch at the Fountain Hotel.

After a good many sandwiches, we headed onto the old A30, round the northern tip of Dartmoor to Exeter.

The first 6 miles were predominantly up hill, and proved pretty hard going, but once over the top we had a good run down into Exeter and promptly got completely lost...as did our trust support crew! Nevetheless we eventually made it to the YHA, just in time for tea!
Big thanks to Charlotte, a friend of Stella's, who popped in to provide some much needed physio work, and also to Briony & Penny for offering to see to the entire groups dirty laundry needs!! That in itself requires a medal!
